We worked to help recreating memories of growing up on the lake – climbing up to hidden spaces and watching the boats go by.

What we are lovingly calling the Bungalow totals around 2,200sf and sleeps 6.  A Modern Craftsman, this home was conceived as a replacement for an aging lake residence, and retains much of the original charm and function of the outgoing building.

The qualities the owner did not want to lose – Cozy nooks and places to explore, views of the water, places that young ones can call their own – were prioritized in our design process.  This resulted in a cantilevered deck and dining area, complete with a windowed nook above, and a lofted boathouse on the water with space for relaxation.
