The Role: Project Manager // Junior Architect

Meetinghouse seeks a talented and passionate Project Manager to join our collaborative design team. This person will coordinate efforts with Principals to complete projects on time, on budget and consistent with the level of creativity and engagement that Meetinghouse has demonstrated thus far.

WHO WE ARE

Meetinghouse Architecture, Inc. was founded in 2021 as a design partnership. We seek to assist our clients in creating and re-creating residential and commercial architecture in the Valley and surrounding areas. Our region is populated with established building stock, infrastructure, and culture, creating a complex web of constraints for entrepreneurs, owners, and builders to navigate. Meetinghouse is the partner in that challenge - not only to design new structures - but to respect and reuse the existing ones.

WHO YOU ARE

We don’t know you yet, but we hope that you have a keen eye, an appreciation for reuse, and a drive to create innovative and sustainable solutions. You should be able to work independently, managing all aspects of multiple small to mid-sized design projects. Experience with wood-framed construction is a must. Experience with sustainable construction, high-end interiors and furniture, masonry structures and steel is a plus.

- Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and consultants to understand project objectives, constraints, and design requirements. Experience in a Project Management role is a must.

- Conduct thorough research on the significance, use and cultural context of existing sites and structures. Knowledge of the IEBC is required alongside knowledge of all state and adopted codes.

- Develop creative and practical design concepts that integrate modern functionality and aesthetics while respecting the existing. Collaborate with principals and designers on conceptual and DD work. Experience with Enscape is preferred.

- Produce detailed architectural drawings, specifications, and construction documents. Our firm takes a unique approach to design documents. Efficiency with Rhino and Adobe Suite is required.

- Provide oversight on the construction process, ensuring adherence to design intent, quality standards, and project timelines.

- Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to adaptive reuse, new construction, furniture and interiors.

- Be able to demonstrate the above skills and experience with or without an accredited degree in Architecture.

ADDITIONAL NOTES

Part of working at a small firm is assisting with the ancillary tasks of a growing business. You will help with targeted outreach, develop marketing materials and participate in pre-contract presentations and visits. The right candidate for this position will have qualities that inspire trust and enthusiasm in our potential clients.
