After their timber bridge failed, access to the rear yard was cut off - Meetinghouse saw the opportunity to use rolled steel for a more graceful crossing…

Taking inspiration from the client’s red spiral stair, meetinghouse designed a custom footbridge to connect the property on either side of this river. The curvature of the steel bridge allows for wheeled access over the bridge, while smartly navigating the change in elevation. Working with Wood to Stone, the bridge was craned over the house from the main road and set in place by a team of fabricators and installers onto helical piers.
