“Orientation of this room and prominent mountain views make this kitchen a central hub of the home's layout, and one of the warmest and most welcoming spaces in the house.”

This 1970’s modernist retreat had a kitchen approaching the end of its lifespan. We partnered with three local artisan shops for a complete change of materials and feel.

Built in 1975, this stunning yet modest home is approaching 50 years old, and due for certain updates. The aging kitchen was the biggest priority, as it serves a family of four who enjoys hosting friends and family. Given the craftsman style interior, with plenty of stone and wood elements, particular focus was placed on creating a space to show off complimenting metal textures.

The goals included open prep space, more innovative storage, and ways to integrate modern appliances. A comprehensive team of West Street Studios, Weststone of Northampton and Salmon Studios of Florence were assembled to provide a palette of deep, rich and authentic materials.
